Get ready for a huge night of live music as pysch-folk masters Cloud Control and beloved rock band The Preatures take to the Twilight at Taronga stage for an unforgettable double bill!
Cloud Control, the Blue Mountains band who soundtracked a generation, recently reunited to celebrate 15 years of their debut album ‘Bliss Release’, and with popular demand they’re joining the Twilight at Taronga line-up.
Welcoming back their founding bassist Jeremy Kelshaw, the band sold out shows nationally playing in their original line up, for the first time in over a decade. Known for their lush harmonies, psych-folk sound, and compelling live shows, the band will continue the reunion with further shows in 2025 with Harvest Rock, playing a full classic hits set.
Their debut album ‘Bliss Release’ (2010) made waves everywhere receiving huge support from both community and national radio, and earning critical acclaim and accolades including the Australian Music Prize, AIR Independent Album of the Year, Sydney Music Arts & Culture award, and ARIA nominations.
Tracks like “Gold Canary” and “There’s Nothing in the Water We Can’t Fight” - which reached #18 in the Triple J Hottest 100 - became indie anthems that established Cloud Control as staple of Australian festival line-ups with a reputation as a formidable live band.
The album’s local success also struck a chord internationally and saw Cloud Control relocate to London and tour extensively across Europe and the US, sharing stages with acts like Supergrass, Vampire Weekend, Metronomy, The Drums, Foo Fighters, Local Natives, and Weezer.
Joining Cloud Control are R&B-infused rock mavens The Preatures. After a multi-year hiatus, the Sydney five-piece returned in 2025 for an epic reunion tour to celebrate the 10th anniversary of their phenomenal 2014 debut album ‘Blue Planet Eyes’.
Their wildly successful debut LP hit #4 on the ARIA charts, earning four ARIA nominations and a J Award nod, with standout tracks “Is This How You Feel?” (#9 in triple j's Hottest 100 2013) and “Somebody's Talking” capturing hearts worldwide. The album's blend of irresistible hooks and timeless sound catapulted them into the musical stratosphere - from playing clubs to playing for tens of thousands worldwide, earning legendary status with genre-melding songwriting and unpredictable, electrifying live shows. The Preatures conquered the local stages of the Sydney Opera House, Splendour In The Grass, Falls Festival, and massive international stages including Jimmy Kimmel Live, mainstage Coachella, SXSW, Bonnaroo and Glastonbury.
Led by powerhouse frontwoman Izzi Manfredi, The Preatures live set delivers an effervescent blend of 60s R&B, country-inflected pop-rock, making for one high-energy sermon on the resilience of rock and roll.
